Sicilian Lemon & Harissa Olive Oil Hummus

Ingredients
  

  • 15 oz Can Chicpeas (drained and rinsed)
  • 1/4 Cup Tahini
  • 3 Tbsp Harissa Olive Oil EVOO Marketplace
  • 2 Tbsp Sicilian Lemon Balsamic EVOO Marketplace
  • 1 Clove Garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 Lemon Juice (fresh squeezed)
  • 1/2 Tsp Kosher Salt (or to taste)
  • 2-4 Tbsp Cold Water

Instructions
 

  • Add chickpeas, tahini, harissa olive oil, Sicilian lemon balsamic, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and cumin to a food processor.
  • Process until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  • With the processor running, add cold water one tablespoon at a time until the hummus reaches a creamy, spreadable consistency.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning, acidity, or heat as desired.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with additional harissa olive oil before serving.

Notes

  • For ultra-smooth hummus, remove chickpea skins before blending.
  • Harissa olive oil provides warmth rather than aggressive heat; add more to taste if desired.
  • Sicilian lemon balsamic adds brightness without overpowering the hummus.

Serving Suggestions
