Ingredients

Salmon Preparation

  • 4 Salmon Filets (5-6oz/ea skin on or off)
  • 2 Tbsp Chipotle Olive Oil EVOO Marketplace
  • Kosher Salt
  • Black Pepper

Balsamic Glaze Preparation

  • 1/3 Cup Maple or Honey Ginger Balsamic EVOO Marketplace
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Tbsp Butter

Instructions

Make the Glaze

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, butter, and garlic.
  • Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened and glossy.
  • Remove from heat and set aside. The glaze will thicken as it cools.

Grill the Salmon

  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  • Brush salmon fillets with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Place salmon on the grill, skin-side down if applicable.
  • Grill for 4–6 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until just cooked through.

Glaze and Finish

  • During the final 1–2 minutes of grilling, brush salmon generously with the balsamic glaze.
  • Remove from grill and allow to rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Maple balsamic creates a richer, deeper sweetness that pairs beautifully with grilled vegetables.
  • Honey ginger balsamic adds brightness and gentle warmth, ideal for lighter sides and spring flavors.
  • Avoid glazing too early to prevent burning due to natural sugars.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with grilled asparagus, jasmine rice, quinoa, or a crisp cucumber salad. Finish with a drizzle of extra glaze if desired.

Storage

  • Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently.
