CHIPOTLE OLIVE OIL
The smoky flavor of our Chipotle Olive Oil is great for marinating steaks or brushing on grilled chicken, pork & fish/seafood. Drizzle over grilled/roasted vegetables or pizza for a spicy meal! Give steamed rice a kick! Excellent as a dipping oil for artisan breads or as a finishing oil for soups or pasta.

Leafy greens, sauteed/roasted/grilled vegetables, fruits (pineapple).
Combine 2 parts Chipotle Olive Oil with 1 part balsamic vinegar. Whisk together and serve. To emulsify dab in a small amount of dijon mustard or light mayo and continue whisking. Oil and balsamic will become creamy in appearance. Refrigerate remaining amount for up to 3 days.
Combine equal parts Chipotle Olive Oil with equal parts balsamic vinegar. We recommend preparing just enough to cover the protein. Place in zip-lock bag and squeeze out air. Place in refrigerator for at least six hours.
Note: For Fish, Seafood (catches from the water) we recommend rubbing the Chipotle Olive Oil into the raw protein in the absence of the balsamic vinegar for approximately 30 minutes. We recommend NOT using balsamic during the marinade step to prevent the acidic balsamic from breaking down the delicate protein. Instead, combine Chipotle Olive Oil and balsamic and use to drizzle over the finished product.
Applying heat to any oil or balsamic may slightly reduce the original flavor profile. To bring back any lost flavors prepare a small amount of fresh marinade and drizzle over the finished product.

Using our Chipotle Olive Oil is super simple and if you can use a tablespoon, which we know you can, then you can master any application. Please keep in mind; flavors are fairly flexible across recipes. For example, if a recipe calls for Chipotle Olive Oil and you only have Harissa Olive Oil we’d say go for it. BALSAMIC MARINATED STEAK
A personal favorite of EVOO Marketplace! This steak will present with a beautiful caramelization on the outer crust while maintaining a gorgeous medium-rare color inside. The best way to grill steak is on a HOT and SEASONED rack – so be sure to heat your grill in advance as well as season your grate with oil on a rag. - 2 cloves Garlic (Minced)
- 1 tablespoon Ginger (Minced)
- 1 tablespoon Shallot (Minced)
- 3oz Espresso Balsamic (EVOO Marketplace)
- 3oz Chipotle Olive Oil (EVOO Marketplace)
- 16oz Flat Iron/Flank/Skirt Steak
- 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Sea Salt
- 1 tablespoon Ground Pepper
|Rub Flatiron Steak with dry ingredients, rubbing with the grain, being sure to scar the meat by utilizing the coarse salt and pepper. Let stand 30 min, room temperature to allow flavors to sink in |
|Place steak into a large zip lock freezer bag, whisk together oil-balsamic mix to create a marinade, and pour into bag. Marinate 4-6 hours or longer if desired. |
|Remove from freezer bag and place on grill! Always place steak PRESENTATION SIDE DOWN FIRST, creating cross-hatching grill marks by changing position between the “10” and “2” positions, 3 minutes each position on a seasoned (wiped with oil) grill, which will create rich marks upon your meat. |
|ALWAYS allow your meat to stand at least 20 minutes before slicing. This is called “resting” the meat, and allows for moist cuts. |
|Shave, with a slicer, on a bias, curl onto the plate and serve with our beautiful savory chocolate gravy. |
Chocolate Olive Oil Glaze
- 6oz Dark Chocolate 70%
- 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (May substitute with Chipotle or Blood Orange Olive Oils)
- dash Sea Salt (EVOO Marketplace)
|Add dark chocolate into a microwave safe container. Microwave 30 seconds. Stir and repeat until chocolate is molten. Proceed to step 2.|
|Add Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Sea Salt. Stir until creamy. If necessary, microwave an additional 30 seconds until mixture is smooth and creamy. Proceed to step 3.|
|Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Dip fresh fruits, raisins, nuts, pretzels in molten chocolate and place on parchment paper. Let cool. Enjoy!|
